Lawrence “Larry” E. Swanson

WESTFIELD-Lawrence “Larry” E. Swanson, 80, of Westfield, handed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, on the Absolut Care of Westfield.

He was born Oct. 19, 1941, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Edmund and Lenora Willover Swanson.

Larry had attended Mayville Central Faculty. He then proudly served his nation within the U.S. Military. After his honorable discharge he labored as a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways in Albuquerque, NM, and as an impartial truck driver for a number of years and for a few years labored as an area mechanic.

He loved looking, fishing and auto racing on the filth tracks, operating the Tremendous Late Mannequin. His favourite time spent was along with his household.

Larry is survived by his three youngsters: Rhonda (Mark) Hancock of Westfield, N.Y., Kimberly (David) Charette of Atlanta, Ga., and Lonnie (Anne) Swanson of Ripley, N.Y.; eight grandchildren: James (Tammy) Battin, Robert (Amanda) Galbraith, Dylan Hardy, Kyle Jackson, Carson Jackson, Brittany (Matthew) Goldie, Brandy Swanson and Tyler Swanson; 5 great-grandchildren: Danny and Devin Battin, Carter and Natalie Galbraith, and Wyatt Swanson.

Along with his mother and father, he was preceded in dying by his spouse, Jackilyn Murdock Swanson; a grandson, Daniel Battin; and three brothers: Bruce Swanson, Dwight Swanson and Rodney Swanson.

The household will obtain pals from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, on the Freay Funeral Dwelling in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). Burial can be personal within the North Concord Cemetery.
